This autumn the fabulous, award-winning,
scene-stealing Les Ballets Trockadero de

come to Southampton for the very first time…
in size 12 pointe shoes. Founded in 1974 by
a group of ballet enthusiasts presenting a
playful, entertaining view of classical ballet
in parody form, Les Ballets Trockadero de
Monte Carlo first performed in the late-late
shows in Off-Off Broadway lofts and are now
treasured all around the world.

Affectionately known as The Trocks, this
company of professional male dancers presents
an inspired blend of their loving knowledge of
dance, their brilliant comic approach, and the
astounding fact that men can, indeed, dance en

Emotional and political turmoil erupt in
Bellini’s masterpiece, the most purely
entertaining of all bel canto operas. Revel
in stratospheric showstoppers, beautiful
singing and a thrilling story. This new
production travels between two conflicts –
The Troubles in 1970s Belfast
and the English Civil War.
Few great artists convey their deep
understanding of the human condition as
powerfully as Handel. In Orlando, he
conveys the hero’s descent into madness
with sublime music. This stylish production
fittingly sets this poignant exploration of
human suffering in a London hospital during
World War II.

West Yorkshire Playhouse in association with Royal Exchange Theatre
“Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd. His skin
was pale and his eye was odd. He shaved the
faces of gentlemen, Who never thereafter
were heard of again…”
Performed by Welsh National Opera,
James Brining’s thrilling production of this
musical masterpiece is set in the late 1970s/
early 1980s.
Clever lyrics drive the story along with pace
and pitch black humour, drawing you – almost
against your will – into the world of a man
pushed over the edge of reason by a corrupt
and powerful elite.

THE HIT WEST END AND BROADWAY SHOW!
The international hit show that celebrates
the music of The Beatles is coming back
to Southampton!
Direct from London’s West End, LET IT BE
has established itself as one of the West
End’s most popular shows when the
production originally opened at the Prince
of Wales Theatre in September 2012, before
transferring for a year-long run at the Savoy
Theatre from January 2013 – February 2014.
The show has recently returned to the West
End for an 8 month run at the Garrick Theatre.
Seen by over 1 million people worldwide,
LET IT BE continues to delight audiences
across the globe, having recently performed
to audiences in Germany, Japan, Moscow, and
France. LET IT BE showcases the music of
the world’s most successful rock ‘n’ roll band
in a spectacular concert charting the band’s
meteoric rise from their humble beginnings
in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the height
of Beatlemania, to their later studio
masterpieces.
The show is packed with over forty of The
Beatles’ greatest hits including: Twist and
Shout, She Loves You and Drive My Car, as
well as global mega-hits Yesterday, Hey Jude,
Come Together and, of course, Let It Be.
Travel back to the magical sixties when all
you needed was love, and a little help from
your friends!
The music defined a generation, captured the
hearts and ideals of millions, and now you can
relive it as LET IT BE comes to Southampton.

Ballet’s greatest love story returns in
Birmingham Royal Ballet’s lavish production
of the timeless classic Swan Lake. This
romantic fable of ill-fated passion, powerfully
illuminated by Tchaikovsky’s legendary score,
has bewitched viewers for generations.
By a moonlit lake, a grieving prince witnesses
the transformation of a swan into a beautiful
princess. Compelled by an evil spell to
spend her days in the form of a bird, she can
only be saved by the power of love. Filled
with exquisite ensembles, lyrical pas de
deux and bravura solos, Swan Lake is an
unforgettable experience. Acknowledged by
The Guardian as “one of the world’s finest
productions of the ballet,” Birmingham
Royal Ballet’s Swan Lake is darkly
atmospheric, romantic and beautiful.
