Red Bull Personal Best Competition Terms & Conditions
(the “Competition”)
The Competition is run by Red Bull Company Limited whose registered address is 155 – 171
Tooley Street, London, SE1 2JP ("Red Bull").
The Competition, and all use of Red Bull’s website, www.redbull.co.uk (the “Website”), is
governed by these Terms & Conditions. By entering the Competition, you agree to these
terms and conditions.
1
How to Enter and Who can Enter
1.1
To apply to take part in the Competition you must:
1.1.1
Go to the Website (www.redbull.co.uk/personalbest) and connect to the
platform via Facebook or manual entry form;
Submit times on one of 15 tracks nationwide listed below 1.6. (as updated
from time to time by Red Bull on the Website); and Connect the MapMyRide
app to the platform to submit times.
1.2
The Competition shall be open for entry from 03 March 2014 until midnight on
24 August 2014.
1.3
The Competition is only open to UK residents aged 16 or over. Additional
entry requirements may apply at each track.
1.4
Under 18s: by entering you warrant that you have your parent/guardian’s
consent to enter.
1.5
If you are successful, Red Bull will email you or telephone you by 28 August
2014
1.6
Available tracks for submission of times are below, some of these trails will
not be available at launch and may be subject to change. The latest list of
tracks will always be available on the Website:

Winners’ Criteria
2.1
Winners will be selected by their fastest times down the trails on Mountain
Bikes submitted through the MapMyRide app.
2.2
Red Bull reserves the right to disqualify entrants who are deemed to have
falsified their time.
3
Prize Dates & Location
3.1
The top 2 riders from each track (the “Winners”) will be selected to spend a
weekend at the Athertons Invitational Downhill Mountain Bike Event (the
“Event”).
3.2
Red Bull will be running the Event. This will see Gee and Dan Athertons (Top
20 Downhill Mountain Bike Athletes) take on the most challenging Down Hill
Race course, in Wales. Exact location is TBC. The Event will take place at

3.3
Winners will be hosted at the Event, given exclusive spectator access to
include: course walk of the track before the race with Gee Atherton; meeting
the top 20 invited riders; and getting 1 on 1 bike Events with an Atherton
Team Mechanic.
3.4
Please note that our Event is subject to the availability of our athletes. The
Event may have to change location. We hope you can make the Events if the
dates are updated, however, Red Bull cannot be held liable if you are not
able to make the new Event date. The Event will take place at in the UK

Travel and Expenses
Red Bull shall reimburse you for your reasonable travel and accommodation
expenses in relation to your attendance at the Event (subject to (i) prior
written approval by Red Bull; and (ii) Red Bull receiving full VAT receipts in
relation to each expense). All other expenses related to your attendance at
the Event shall be at your sole expense.

Disclaimers and Releases
5.1
If you win a place at the Event you will not be allowed to participate until you
have signed Red Bull’s standard liability disclaimer and filming release form.
Parents/guardians must sign for participants under the age of 18.
5.2
Individual tracks may require you to sign their own disclaimer forms before
you can race the track.
5.3
By setting your times for the Competition, you confirm that you are an able
Mountain Biker and are riding at your own risk. Any injuries or accidents
suffered while partaking in the Competition is the responsibility of the rider
and not Red Bull.
6
Data Protection and Publicity
6.1
You consent to your surname and town of residence being disclosed if you
win a prize in the Competition.
6.2
Any personal data relating to participants entering the Competition will be
used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. By
entering the Competition, you agree that Red Bull may contact you in relation
to the Event. Please see Red Bull’s privacy policy on www.redbull.co.uk for
further details. Data relating to all participants will be retained by Red Bull for
a reasonable period after the Competition closes to assist Red Bull in running
the Competition fairly and to deal with any queries regarding the Competition
and/or Events.
6.3
Competition winners will be contacted by email or phone. You must provide
accurate contact details on registration. On being contacted, winners may be
asked to provide evidence of their age.
7
Filming
7.1
Red Bull or such third parties as it may authorise from time to time will be
entitled to capture and use audio recordings, video recordings and
photographs from the Event and to use your name, image, voice,
appearance, performance and biographical material for any purpose (be it
commercial, for merchandising, promotional, editorial, or otherwise) in all
media, forever, subject to limitations pursuant to local statutory law. By
accepting the present Terms, you grant Red Bull the right to use such
material.
7.2
Red Bull and the Red Bull Group will be enabled to use, broadcast, screen,
display, reproduce and/or make available to the public the material in any and
all media, including but not limited to radio, television, cinemas, events, data
carriers and the worldwide web. Red Bull and the Red Bull Group will be
entitled to make any alterations, intermissions, cuts or other modifications in
and to the material and to use such altered material without restrictions.
Furthermore, Red Bull and the Red Bull Group are allowed to transfer the
granted rights to any third party. You know that you won’t have the right to
approve any of the material. You understand that you might not be named as
a participant in the Event and do not expect to gain financially from your
appearance in any Event-related material.
7.3
By accepting the present Terms, you grant Red Bull the right to use such
material under the conditions detailed above.
8
Competition Rules
8.1
The Competition will be run and prizes will be awarded at Red Bull’s sole
discretion. Red Bull’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered
into.
8.2
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Red Bull’s
website and services, and to refuse entry into the Competition or any Event.
8.3
We reserve the right to change the Competition rules and these Terms and
Conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will always have the most up to
date terms and conditions on the Website and in the case of a discrepancy
between these terms and conditions and those on the Website, the Website
terms and conditions will apply. Your continued entry into the Competition will
constitute your acceptance of the new rules and/or Terms and Conditions.
8.4
All intellectual property rights in the images and materials on the Website and
used in the services provided by Red Bull vest in Red Bull and no person
may make any use of them without Red Bull’s express permission.
8.5
The prizes are as stated and they cannot be sold or exchanged for cash,
goods or services. Unless specifically agreed in writing by Red Bull, the
prizes are not transferable and must be taken by the winner in person. If any
prizes are resold, Red Bull reserves the right to cancel the prize concerned.
8.6
Any prizes that are mistakenly credited to you remain Red Bull’s property,
which you must return.
9
Liability and Indemnities
9.1
Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or
in respect of fraud, and so far as is permitted by law, Red Bull and its
associated companies and agents and distributors exclude responsibility and
all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, arising from:
(a)
any postponement or cancellation of the Competition or the Event;
(b)
any changes to, supply of (including, without limitation, tickets which
do not reach the intended recipient) or use of the ticket or attendance
at the Event; and
(c)
any act or default of any supplier, which are beyond Red Bull’s
reasonable control.
9.2
Red Bull does not accept responsibility for any liability arising from technical
incompatibility, problems relating to the internet, or technical difficulties of any
kind.
9.3
Red Bull shall not be liable, whether in tort, contract, misrepresentation or
otherwise for loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of
use, loss or corruption of data or information, or any special, indirect,
consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.
9.4
You agree to indemnify Red Bull against all liabilities, claims and expenses
that may arise from any breach of your agreement with Red Bull.
10
Jurisdiction
10.1
The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English
Law. England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute
or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
