Message from the
Programme Director
At this moment, many CEOs and executive leaders are dealing
with volatilities, uncertainties, complexities and ambiguities
(VUCAs) within the business environment that often demand
strategic human capital solutions. The Master of Human Capital
Leadership (MHCL) and the Advanced Management Programme
in Strategic Human Resources (AMP SHR) were both designed
to equip senior leaders with the know-how and acumen to meet
the strategic challenges related to the “people-side of business”
head-on.
The AMP SHR is a compact programme customised to address
the context of human resources leadership in Asia. It is developed
in partnership with CIPD and leads to the CIPD Level 7 Advanced
Qualifications Certificate. Glean insights from practice-oriented,
experienced faculty from the Singapore Management University
along with senior HR leaders from across the region. Students
who succeed in the AMP SHR may wish to continue their
advancement by applying for the MHCL.
As a part-time programme, the MHCL is uniquely designed and
delivered in partnership with the Wharton Center for Human
Resources, the Singapore Human Capital Leadership Institute
(HCLI), and CIPD. This programme is a confluence of the best of
global business knowledge, a strong regional perspective of Asia,
and unparalleled professional qualifications.
Term 1:
Human Resources
Fundamentals
Building upon the foundational core courses in strategic human
resources, you can look forward to a suite of MBA-level business
strategy courses to further explore and expand the interplay
of business and human capital. One particular highlight of the
programme is the one-week intensive module at the Wharton
Business School’s Center for Human Resources where we will
take a global perspective on the emerging trends in organisations
today. As a graduate of the MHCL programme with the CIPD
Level 7 Advanced Qualifications Diploma, you will be among the
most sought-after and valuable future leaders of human capital in
Asia and beyond.
These two programmes deal with advanced human resources
management issues and will groom you to lead with a strong
human capital orientation, ready to strategically marshal human
capital towards optimal business results.
