2016 Leadership in Practice
SAVE THE DATE: June 26- June 29, 2016
For nearly 20 years, students from around the state have come together to be immersed in leadership activities
and simulations led by civic, business and education leaders at LEADERSHIP IN PRACTICE, a statewide
leadership development program.
The LEADERSHIP IN PRACTICE program was developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation to engage
Missouri high school students in hands on, real world leadership training. The program is divided into five
areas: global leadership, civic leadership, economic leadership, ethical leadership and personal leadership. The
key to the training is that students learn by participating in small group discussions, activities and simulations.
The students are mentored by experienced business, civic and education leaders from across the state, imparting
real world knowledge to help guide their development during the forum. Students evaluate their leadership
skills based on what they learn and then set goals on how to improve those skills during the rest of their
High School career.
