Westwood Village Improvement Association March 2015 ESTWOOD WORD Become a BruinCard Merchant! Did you know that the UCLA BruinCard is a debit card as well as an ID? Westwood Village Merchant Network We can make our Westwood network even stronger! The WVIA is working to create a real-time network for our merchant and business community to share information. We have registered our District in Townsquared, a FREE networking platform that allows our unique merchants and businesses to share information and support each other. Immediately reach other members in our business community with time-sensitive news like a shoplifter at large, counterfeit money, street closure, broken water main, etc. Receive these short messages through the website and optionally via text message so you don’t miss critical updates. Be a more active member of your community! Join today! The WVIA will verify every person who joins to ensure you’re communicating only with actual business owners and staff in Westwood Village. Townsquared conversations are also 100% private and cannot be seen by anyone that is not on our network. To join the Westwood Village Merchant Network, please visit: www.thewestwoodvillage.com/working-here/ townsquared How about the fact that UCLA students, faculty and staff deposit an average of $10,000 per day onto their BruinCards to make purchases at official BruinCard merchants in Westwood Village, as well as on campus?
