Trinity NOTES
February 2, 2014
Sunday Schedule
Dear
Sisters and Brothers,
g
February 2nd
Over the last couple of weeks I have been trying to connect with a former Trinity parishioner, John Lowe. Until this past weekend we kept missing each other. John
had a collection of materials related to Camp Faith.
Camp Faith was a significant ministry in the City of
Charlottesville during the late 1960s, run by Trinity
Church.
These pictures and newspaper clippings tell a fascinating story about race relations and other happenings. It
is also interesting that we are put in a position to remember this ministry from the 20th century as we embark on a new one in the 21st century.
Unfortunately, this material is not organized; it is simply in a banker’s box. I would like to put out a call to a
historically-minded parishioner to help preserve this
material. There is no time pressure and most of what
will be required is putting the newspaper clippings in
chronological order and in sheet protectors.
