INTRODUCTION
Mission Statement
The Elena Zabala Wellness Institute (EZWI) is committed to excellent teaching and to the
personal and intellectual growth of its students. We are continually building on our mission
to promote innovation in massage and esthetic therapy education and clinical practice. EZWI
is dedicated to prepare clinical massage therapists to become successful practitioners who
will provide exemplary health care while demonstrating commitment to lifelong learning and
community service.
History & Director/Elena Zabala
Director Elena Zabala, who is also the founder and CEO of Elena Zabala Wellness Institute has
over thirty- two (32) years of experience in the Massage Therapy and Cosmetology industry. She
has been trained by many international specialists and has even traveled and trained abroad
as well. She has worked with many top names in the industry such as Elizabeth Arden and the
Ritz Carlton Spa. She has also received extensive training directly from many top names in the
industry in Italy and Canada. Elena Zabala has a vision which has now manifested into reality.
In 1992, she had combined her vast experience and training to establish her own spa which has
become quite popular and successful in Palm Beach County, Florida; Elena Zabala Skin Care
and Wellness Spa. After practicing since 1980, she decided it was time to share her knowledge
and techniques which prompted the establishing of Elena Zabala Wellness Institute (2015).
Philosophy
It is the purpose of Elena Zabala Wellness Institute to train students for a career in Massage
Therapy and Esthetics to create a learning environment in which the journey is as valuable as
the destination. It is also our aim to prepare students with the abilities needed by providing a
comprehensive education for these occupations. In doing so we strive to graduate mindful,
creative, knowledgeable professionals who will use their skills and compassion to benefit
themselves and those they serve.
Elena Zabala Wellness Institute is sensitive to the needs of adult learners and creates a
demanding yet supportive environment to enhance the professional, educational, and personal
growth of each student. At Elena Zabala Wellness Institute we have a profound respect for
both, the opportunity and responsibility that our work offers us as health care practitioners. The
training we offer is carefully designed to develop knowledge, skill and sensitivity. Our institute
provides an atmosphere of safety, support and harmony.
Massage Therapy and Esthetics are an intimate blend of healing arts and science. It is a career
that provides services and communication. It awakens both the client and therapist and brings
out the deepest qualities of human interaction. An intense and powerful learning can occur
during touch and movement therapies. It is the institution’s philosophy that our own selfawareness has a direct bearing on our sensitivity toward our clients. As we pay attention to our
own growth and stretch into life, we encourage those around us to do the same.
“One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes...
and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

same format as “EZMAEXT01”.
