The city of Oviedo, with more than twelve centuries of history, is the geographical, political and

Oviedo’s historic center is beautiful and very well preserved, and most of it is pedestrian friendly.

Oviedo University dates back from the 17th century and is one of the most representative universities
in Spain. That is the reason why Oviedo is the major university center in Asturias, hosting hundreds of
students every year.

OVIDA is located right next to the Hospital and the University and features more than 34,000 square
metres of gross area. OVIDA’s objective is to provide the Principality of Asturias with a highly innovative
residential model aimed at promoting intergenerational exchanges to strengthen the development

OVIDA offers a Student Hall of Residence, where young people live together.
Besides providing residents the best that can be offered in terms of services, they have a unique range
of facilities intended to meet all today’s students needs.
Respect for others and camaraderie are the core values of their living experience. During this first year,
OVIDA has been called home by a good number of students, who lived far from their families.
It is nearly impossible to find a hall of residence in Spain that offers the facilities and services that OVIDA
Halls does.

The Hall features single and double rooms situated over three floors, each of which has common
areas. Every floor has a study room, a TV and reading room, vending machines and a fully equipped
laundry for washing and ironing your own clothes.
OVIDA hall provides an ‘all inclusive’ service with all the facilities you would expect to find in a hotel.
Besides that, OVIDA has a very specific goal, which is to promote interactions between the different
generations living together in OVIDA. Programs and activities will be organized to benefit both
generations and to bring them closer together. Students can take part in these activities on a voluntary
basis.
On the other hand, Professional Training is also available at OVIDA. This training has a strong integrational
element allowing students to continuously acquire and refresh skills and competencies in the healthcare
field.

interns.

SPECIFIC COURSES FOR STUDENTS FROM INDIA
Objectives:
Ovida, together with Mundidiomas, designs both general and tailor-made courses. All courses are
focused on communication skills. That is the reason why students are asked to participate and show
interest in both classroom activities and assignments to be done in students’ own time. Our objective
is to provide students with the necessary skills to be able to speak and write fluently and naturally,
using proper grammar. At the same time, we want students to make the most of the classes and enjoy
their stay in our homeland.
Syllabus:
The contents included in our study programs are based on the CEFR for learning Spanish as a foreign
language. On the other hand, language skills (including oral comprehension, oral expression,
pronunciation and prosody, written comprehension and written expression), pragmatic strategies and
sociocultural behaviours are also taken into account.

SERVICES INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAMS OFFERED IN INDIA
Due to the large number of students that learn Spanish as a second
language in the country of India, and the country’s potential growth,
Ovida has created a specific program for its students.
The largest steel company in Spain is based on the Asturias region and
represents 30% of the local economy in the region. This company is called
Arcelor Mittal, and the president and main stock holder is an Indian citizen:
Lakshmi Mittal. This fact also represents a good opportunity for Indian
executives.
All the prices of our programs include the following specific services for
student from the New Dehli area:
- Official Counseling from the Ovida Delegate in New Dheli
- Complete arrangements between all the students and the Ovida
Language Institute
- Welcome meeting and initial counseling upon arrival
Additional services at an extra cost:
- International Medical Insurance
- Group flight arrangements and visa permits if needed
Groups above 8 people can choose to travel from New Dehli to Spain
with a Tour Leader, who would stay with them during the entire duration
of the selected program.
Levels:
We offer syllabuses for all levels, from A1 to C2, following the guidelines set forth by the Instituto
Cervantes, where reference level descriptions (A1-A2, B1-B2 and C1-C2) were developed based on
the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Groups:
With the purpose of allowing students to make the most of the lesson, groups are homogeneous, with
a maximum number of 15 students per class.
Our teachers:
We rely on qualified teachers with a broad experience in teaching ELE (Diploma of Spanish as a
Foreign Language).
STUDY PROGRAM 1-WEEK COURSE
PRICE 900 euros
This course is intended for students who wish to spend their vacation in Spain and, at the same
time, increase their knowledge and skills in the Spanish language.
(Levels available: A1 to C2)
Duration: 15 hours of Spanish lessons
Courses are inclusive of:
Spanish lessons: 3 hours a day from Monday to Friday.
Small-sized groups: 15 students per class.
Homogeneous groups: according to test level.
Preliminary test: to identify individual needs and previous knowledge.
Diploma and certificate of achievement for students who successfully complete the course.
Spanish teachers with a broad teaching experience in ELE.
Syllabus developed following the guidelines set forth by the Instituto Cervantes and aimed at
meeting groups’ specific needs.
Services included in price:
Transfer service from Madrid to Oviedo upon arrival, by train or private bus depending on group
size.
Accommodation in double rooms in Ovida Residence Hall
Full Board meals, with special vegetarians and Indian menus
Three half day tours inside Asturias, featuring Covadonga, Aviles, Cudillero and Gijon.
Transfer service from Oviedo to Madrid upon departure, by train or private bus depending on
group size.
Group must have a minimum of 8 students, and they will be accompanied by a tour leader all
the way from India, and during the entire tour.

TRAVELLING EXTENSIONS
OVIDA offers the option to add some days of travelling around Spain.
We can organise any tour that would complete the travelling experience,
making the program even more attractive.
Some examples that can be offered are:
MADRID 3 NIGHTS – 4 DAYS
Day 1. Arrival in Madrid.
Accommodation in a Hostal ** in multiple rooms in the city center, and free time for lunch.
Guided Tour of Madrid featuring the “Madrid of the Austrias” visiting the historical area of the city,
Royal Palace, Cathedral of the Almudena, Bailen Street, City Hall, etc
Dinner in a Restaurant in the historical city.
Day 2. Panoramic Bus tour
Breakfast at the hostal.
Bus will take the group to the main visiting sights of the city. They will be able to step in and out
as many times as they wish and change routes. Two tours are provided under the same ticket:
modern Madrid, and Historical Madrid.,
Lunch will be offered at the Hard Rock Cafe located in the marvellous Plaza de Colon.
After lunch, the group can have a walk in the famous “Paseo del Retiro”, where artists, painters,
are always present. The park is full of monuments and statues.
Day 3. Museo del Prado
Breakfast at the hostal
The group will enjoy a guided tour inside one of the most famous and popular museums in Europe.
The art of painters such as Tiziano, Velazquez, Goya, Rubens, etc, are present inside this museum.
Free lunch and afternoon to do some shopping and know the many shops that are available in
the capital of Spain.
Dinner at the Hostal or in a restaurant in Madrid.
Day 4. Flight back to India from Madrid Airport.

TRAVELLING EXTENSIONS
BARCELONA 3 NIGHTS – 4 DAYS
Day 1.- Arrival in Barcelona
Arrival and Accommodation in a Hostal in multiple rooms. Free lunch depending on the arrival time
to the city.
The first guided visit will be done to the Port of Barcelona, the Maremagnum and the Olympic Village.
Dinner at a restaurant in town.
Day 2.- Modern Barcelona
Breakfast at the hostal
Guided visit through the modern Barcelona, viewing the intensive work art
of the famous architecture Gaudi. The group will walk on the Passeig de
Gracia, where they can see the famous building “La Pedrera”, declared
World Heritage by the Unesco.
Free Lunch
Group will visit the Sacred Family Temple.
Dinner at a restaurant in the city.
Day 3.- Gothic Barcelona
Breakfast at the Hostal.
Group will visit and walk through the Gothic District, where they will view the Gothic Cathedral, and
the Medieval streets around the area: Saint James Square and the Plaza Real.
Free Lunch.
After lunch, the group can visit the famous Ramblas, the ideal place to do some free shopping in
the city of Barcelona.
Dinner at the Hostal or in a restaurant in town.
Day 4. Flight back to India from Barcelona Airport.

Those are just two examples of programs that can be organised around
Spain. The final rates and prices will be given at the time of booking. Any
program variation is possible, having the chance to book any type of
