South Korean Pop Stars - I still think that an
American version of this type of wrestling
The idea that I mentioned to you some time ago.. pop sumo, essentially..
is part of a sports thing happening in South Korea. It looks like boy bands
and girl bands participate. The Sumo part is much like traditional
Japanese Sumo, but the wrestlers all look slightly feminine, wear full 'suits'
and have karate belts tied around one thigh and their waist. Evidently, it is
called Ssireum.
I still think that an American version of this type of wrestling or a version of
it could partner with basketball to be a new sport. Six or eight weights.
