We welcome your application and ask that you carefully review the information below prior to applying. Program Choice and Order You can expect to receive an offer of admission to only one program. When more than one Brock program is indicated on the application, the highest choice listed for Brock will be considered first. If you are not eligible for the first choice, consideration will be given to subsequent choices in the order of preference that you have indicated on the application. If you apply to only one Brock program and do not qualify, in most cases consideration will be given for an alternate and related program. Timing of Offers of Admission December: A select number of offers of admission will be extended to high achieving applicants who have completed a minimum of six 3U/M courses and one 4U/M course and are registered in Grade 12 prerequisite requirements. Early February: Offers of admission will be extended to those who have completed a minimum of six 4U/M courses and meet all prerequisite requirements. 2 Mid‑February (usually the third week): The majority of offers of admission will be made at this time. Offers will be based on a minimum of three final 4U/M courses, as well as registration in an additional three 4U/M courses, including prerequisites (for those in a non‑semestered school, offers are based on six 4U/M interim grades). Late April/Early May: Offers of admission will be based on a minimum of six interim or final 4U/M courses, including prerequisites. Calculation of the admission average will be based on the best six 4U/M courses, including prerequisite subjects. Deferrals Brock University will grant a deferral where severe extenuating circumstances warrant one. The decision as to whether a deferral is warranted is at the discretion of Brock University and is not automatic. Deferrals will be considered only after acceptance of a Brock University offer and receipt of final grades. Nursing (BScN) Brock University offers two distinct options for completing the BScN degree: Brock University Program You may apply to the four‑year BScN Honours program that is offered entirely at the Brock University campus in St. Catharines. After completing the degree, you are eligible to write the certification exam to become a Registered Nurse. If you wish to study at Brock University, choose this option. Studying in an Ontario high school, or under Ontario curriculum in another country, does not automatically exempt you from this requirement. Email 101apps@brocku.ca early in the application process if you have any questions regarding the need to submit a test score. Normally, in order to be considered for early admission, a successful test result is required by late February or, for May offers, the last week in April. For detailed information about English‑language proficiency requirements, refer to: www.brocku.ca/webcal/2015/undergrad/ admi.html#sec13.
