Hot Leads are inquiries that have been followed up and a preliminary visit to the GTA and meeting with the GTMA has taken place. Prospects are qualified investors that have visited the GTA and have received a substantial amount of direct servicing including meetings with representatives from the GTMA and its partners with the potential investor’s key location decision-makers. 2 Direct Involvement with Halton Region • Collaborate on investment leads – GTMA managed a number of investor requests for information; Halton Region submitted an information package package, including potential sites sites, to 18 opportunities – Shared all 231 leads generated in 2010; worked together on several • Engaging Halton’s Post-Secondary Institutions – Sheridan is a member of the GTMA’s Presidents’ Council – Sheridan has been featured in the GTA’s FDI publication, Vantage GTA – GTMA introduced Sheridan to several digital media companies • Halton participated in the GTMA’s Exploratory Mission to Brazil – Halton had a delegate g on the mission • Promoting Halton’s strength in Advanced Manufacturing – VANTAGE Advanced Manufacturing Issue (2010) – Regional Spotlight: Halton • Ongoing communication with Halton’s EDOs – Halton EDOs take part in two GTMA-lead committees: • Advanced Manufacturing Initiative (AMI) Committee • ICT Committee 3 2010 FDI Requests for2010 Information Activity The GTMA has also assisted with 9 RFIs from MEDT in 2010 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
