AIMS OF THE COURSE

WHO CAN BENEFIT?
Children between ages of 6 and 10 who need to improve fluency of joined up writing.
We do run small group for older children aged 11 – 13 years at same time.
WHO RUNS THE GROUP?
Sally Wright, Chartered Physiotherapist, devised and leads this programme. Sally has been
working with children with motor output difficulties for the last 30 years. She has used this
programme with children 1:1, in small groups and in special and mainstream schools. She has
been running groups at the Dyslexia Teaching Centre with this format for the last 7 years.
WHAT IS COVERED IN THE SESSIONS?

Writing Posture and aids to support this
Correct Grip and aids to support this
Being able to make the 7 pencil strokes needed to form any letter / number / join
Being able to combine pencil strokes to make sequences of pencil strokes
Correct letter formation of key letter families
Correct letter joins from and to the letters learnt / revised above
Getting into good writing habits with all the above
HOW MUCH DOES COURSE COST?
£250 for 5-day course.
£200 for 4-day course
*Booklet of worksheets, parent information handouts, and writing materials all included in cost.
