course will cover the basic and essential aspects

use of financial statements, ratio calculations
for forecasting, budget preparation and return on

concepts of Marketing from both a strategic
and tactical perspective. Topics covered include
segmentation, strategy and planning, and the
interactions that occur between the Supply Chain

INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS
Supply Chain Management boils down to
ensuring that your customer needs are satisfied
through effective management of processes and
activities, from the sourcing of materials and
services, through the conversion/production
phases, then finally to the customer through a
distribution network.
Students will examine the purposes and
activities of organizations of various types, sizes
and structures, as well as the interrelationship
among functional areas within the organization,
and will begin to study the dynamic relationships
among business, government and labor.

limitations of the four modes of transportation:
road, rail, air and water, as well as intermodal
