HW: Finish collage writing response; read F451pages 7-23 (in the red and purple version):
beginning to “It rained and the entire world. . .” (23). In the small black and tan book version, read
to page 19 in F451. Note: we are using a couple different editions of the novel; I will write the
sentence you should stop at since the page numbers will vary.
Monday 14 March (b)/ Tuesday 15 March (g)
- Show: “The Art of Corporate Mind Control” (5 minutes)

- Discuss media influence. Look at ads taped on white board for cigarettes, alcohol, cologne,
cars, and smart phones. Also, examine pictures from reality shows, famous models, and lessthan-perfect celebrities like Charlie Sheen. What kind of negative impact can this media
have on young people?
- Complete “Happiness Collage Project” reflection/analysis handout and complete. Turn it in
with your collage.
- Receive F451 study packets
- Read aloud in class first 10 pages of novel. Discuss and answer study questions as we go.
