Checklist for other (non-UWP) portfolios
Part of the new assessment protocols for the university also requires that some students upload
their files to both the University Writing Portfolio (UWP) and a course specific portfolio whose
template must be downloaded separately from the UWP, but functions almost identically through
iWebfolio. Check with your instructor to verify which specific portfolio template you need to
download for the course-specific requirement.
 Grab the course-specific portfolio template for the class from the Portfolio Tab
o
Portfolio Tab within iWebfolio > Create New Portfolio > The specific department
folder > the specific portfolio template > Select > Next > Save
o
If you already have that specific portfolio, it should show up in your list of
portfolios on the portfolios tab. Click the name of the portfolio to access it.
 Grant Permission to their instructor through the Institution Reviewers
For more in-depth tutorials and written instructions, visit the QEP website at www.ecu.edu/qep
o
Within the course-specific portfolio, click on the green key icon > Institution
Reviewers > type in the name of the instructor > click the black key icon next to
the instructor’s name.

Upload documents to iWebfolio or the Portfolio then drag and drop each document to
the appropriate place in the Portfolio
o
For each class you may have a variety of documents you need to upload, so check
with your instructor before proceeding.
* Keep in mind that you may have to manage multiple portfolios at any one time depending upon
your specific area of study.
 Though the following guides are written for the UWP, they may contain information that
will help you with your course-specific portfolios.
