UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RIVERSIDE
University Credit Program (UCP)
Study Abroad in the U.S. and Earn UC Credits
in One of the Best
Locations
Get a UC education and experience without applying for formal admission through our
University Credit Program (UCP). Take advantage of the unique opportunity to be a visiting
UCR student. Take select undergraduate or graduate UCR courses, and academic courses
at UCR Extension to get in-depth knowledge in a variety of subjects, and build important
academic and career connections for your future.
UCP students must demonstrate an advanced understanding of English language and have a strong academic foundation. Once you check
with your home institution to find out which UCR courses are transferrable, choose credit classes from across all disciplines. Gain access to
courses in over 80 undergraduate majors and 50 graduate programs.
Here’s How It Works
Once you meet the prerequisites (see Who Can Attend), you can
choose courses from the UCR main campus and UCR Extension.
UCR Main Campus (Undergraduate and Graduate Level)
Courses are available in the sciences, humanities, and many other
areas at both the undergraduate and graduate level in the daytime
and evening.
n Our College Advising office helps you create the best schedule, and ensures you have a full course load of 12 credits.*
n UCR is one of only three UC campuses with an undergraduate program in Business.**
*Students may not get into their first choice of courses, because availability
may be limited.
**Some courses, such as in the MBA program, are restricted and/or require
additional fees.
UCR Extension
UCR Extension offers a range of academic courses in a variety of
areas during the late afternoon and evenings.
n Many UCR Extension courses carry credit and they offer a unique opportunity to study with experts who are real-world practitioners.
n Build your professional network, make connections you can use in your future career, and learn the latest techniques in your desired career.

to experience an American campus lifestyle and I
