Operations Schools Communication/Media/Arts Manager School Advisory Board, following our Sports Director prior participation with their Design Team Program. This advisory board makes recommendations to keep the CMA program fresh and sustainable to better prepare students for postsecondary studies and preparation in their career field. This board met on May 7, 2014, May 22, 2014, October 16, 2014, December 2, 2014 and February 26, 2015. As part of our commitment, we are partnered with the Ballard High School Broadcast Class to assist with preparing students for a career in the broadcast field. On April 29, 2014 three (3) Ballard High School Broadcast Class students had a half-day shadow with WLKY Sports Director Fred Cowgill, and on March 16, 2015, Troy Middaugh visited the Ballard High School Broadcast Class along with Campbellsville University for a dual credit agreement with the Advanced Broadcasting Class students; he spoke about the use of ipads and iphones for scripts and live shots and how this technology has changed the way we deliver news and information. More than 70 employers were exhibitors at the expo, with more than 2,000 jobs to fill. Attendance was estimated to be more than 1,500 attendees. Bruce Burns and Debbie Roberson communicated and worked with the staff at the Louisville Urban League to discuss the Expo and promotional efforts to maximize participation from job-seekers. The station supported the event by running a PSA schedule prior to the March 18th Expo, aired an interview segment the weekend prior to the event, provided live reports the morning and afternoon of the event,.
