Lina Simonu, Lisa Lagus
1.
Requirement Description
Describe the requirement (gap). Include a description of the delivered PeopleSoft functionality.
The University of Connecticut maintains and reports on a detailed EEO Race code level that differs
from the State and Federal EEO race code groupings. PeopleSoft, as delivered meets the state and
federal EEO race code groupings for tracking and reporting purposes, however, it does not meet
UCONN’s detailed EEO Race code requirement.
2.
Business Need
Provide a justification for the requirement. Include information about frequency, volume, number of
users impacted, etc.
The Office of Diversity and Equity at the University of Connecticut uses the more detailed EEO race
code breakdowns to assist the Diversity Task Force with reporting requirements.

Explanation for Recommendation

Without the modification, UCONN would be required to track the information manually outside the
system, which would decrease their current level of service.
7.
Organizational Impact of Recommendation
Describe the changes to the organization that result from the recommended solution. Include a
description of any role, process, statute, or bargaining unit agreement affected.
UCONN require access to create and generate queries for the Diversity Task Force.
