OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT The Operations Management class of PGPM ‘15 is a mix of professionals from diversified industries such as Oil and Gas, Power, Shipping, Aerospace, Infrastructure, Automotive and Telecom. The class is comprised of 43 individuals with an average work experience of 6.5 years, ranging from 4.5 years to 10.4 years including international experience. Participants in the program begin with general management courses and then take on specialization specific courses such as Product Management, Project Management, Lean Enterprising and Operations Strategy (to name a few). Participants also enhance their business acumen by working with industry leaders in the field of e-commerce, supply chain and manufacturing, as a part of the internship program. An advanced course, such as the one in Supply Chain Management from Eli Broad School of Business, Michigan State University, USA, will further hone the proficiency of the participants. The intensive program, based on classroom lectures, peer learning, social sector internships, industry projects, and combined with students’ past experience, develops an ideal mix of skills, knowledge and versatility in each of the candidates during his/ her tenure at the institute. By the end of the term, participants are ready to take on leadership roles that address and attempt to solve the increasingly complex challenges of the business world.
