Many thanks to the members, guests, and partners who

attended our December One-Day conference at the UH
Student Center. In my memory, it is the most ambitious
event we have completed in the past 10 years – a
keynote speaker, three tracks with great speakers, ample
networking, and prizes. We had a great day! We learned
a lot from the event to help improve future activities.
Special thanks to the UH ISACA Student Group for hosting
us at their beautiful facility on the UH campus and to the many volunteers who

We meet on 3rd Thursday of every month from 10:30 am until 1:30 PM.

ISACA CSX Cybersecurity Certifications
The graphic shows the career path from Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate to CISM
(Management Track) and CSX Expert (Professional /Practitioner Track) for ISACA CSX certifications.
The cybersecurity certifications provide hands-on experience in a virtual cyber lab accessible online.
The CSX Practitioner training labs and certification are currently available. The CSX (Specialist) and
CSX Expert certifications will be rolled out by ISACA in 2016. The exams have to be scheduled at a

JOINT ISSA- ISACA MEETING IN WOODLANDS
For the first time, we have started joint ISSA-ISACA meeting in
Woodlands. It is expected that it will help those residing or
working in the northern Houston suburbs to attend the
lucheon meetings, keep abreast of current developments in
the professional fields, earn their CPEs and also engage in
fruitful professional networking

ONE DAY INFOSEC / AUDIT CONFERENCE
Williams gave his key-note address on ‘State of Security in an
Insecure World’. The conference had three tracks –cyber
security, security & audit financial, and security & audit—
operational. There were excellent topics and brilliant
speakers.
