About Only Make Believe
Only Make Believe (OMB) creates and performs interactive
theatre for children in hospitals and care facilities throughout
the New York City and Washington DC metro areas.
OMB is dedicated to the principle that freeing a child’s
imagination is a valuable part of the healing process.
3 OMB actors travel to a hospital to perform with the children
– each child can put on a costume, take on roles during the
performance, and ultimately become the star of the show!

Costume Collective
Volunteer without leaving your office!
OMB will transform your conference or multi-purpose room into a
costume workshop! Your employees will be invited to use their artistic
skills and imagination to create one-of-a-kind costumes for the kids OMB
serves to wear during our performances. OMB sets up, introduces our
program to your volunteers, facilitates the event, cleans up and
distributes the decorated costumes to the children we serve.
This is our most popular event because we come to you, we can
accommodate any group size at any time you wish you engage your
volunteers.

PRICING
A 100% tax deductible sponsorship is required for each volunteer event
based on the amount of volunteers to fund the OMB provided supplies and
materials. Each sponsorship package also funds one OMB show in a
hospital.

Cast Party
Volunteer with the kids!
Bring a group of 5 to 12 employees to share the fun of an OMB show with the
kids! Your employees will get a first-hand view of what we do in hospitals and
care facilities. Your group will travel to one of our hospitals, decorate the
playroom, enjoy the show performed by OMB actors, and throw a party for
the kids with snacks, juice, and goodie bags for each child!
This is a 2.5 hour volunteer event that is great for a smaller group of
volunteers who want to see OMB’s impact for themselves!
SAMPLE SCHEDULE
3:15pm Volunteers Arrive at Hospital and meet OMB Staff
3:30pm Volunteers decorate playroom for performance and party
4:00pm OMB Performance
5:00pm Party begins! Volunteers hand out snacks and goodie bags to the kids
5:15pm Party ends, clean up begins
5:30pm Volunteers depart from site
PRICING
A 100% tax deductible sponsorship of $2,500 is required for a Cast Party. The
donation will fund the OMB provided supplies and materials, and will sponsor
the entire OMB performance in the hospital for the kids.
