Accounting and finance seminars are our speciality, but we know that even Ontario’s premier accountants require more than tax and standards updates — which is why our leadership, management and soft-skill seminars are just as successful as our technical ones. We’ve designed each PD opportunity based on your feedback, which is why we consider it your professional development; designed to offer you and your career more skills, more knowledge, more success. We are pleased to announce a few new additions to our 2012-13 PD program: More live broadcasts. More competencies. This year, we have expanded our live broadcast lineup to deliver convenient online PD opportunities across the province of Ontario. Turn to page 14 for upcoming dates. Our two and three-day certificate programs have been well received since their launch in 2010. This year, we are pleased to announce new partnerships with Ryerson University and The Niagara Institute to offer you more cross-platform learning and networking opportunities. Turn to page 44 for upcoming certificate programs. More career development. 2012-13 will welcome the launch of our new career development initiative. Ranging from career clinics to employment counselling, this service will be exclusive to CGAs and students in the CGA program. Stay tuned via ‘Net Value and PD Opportunities Newsletter for more details. More regional events. CGAs and students in Ottawa and South Western Ontario will be pleased to learn that we are bringing PD to you this year at regional events. More communication. We have introduced a few new lines of communi cation to ensure you can reach us with all of your questions. If you have questions, suggestions or feedback regarding CGA Ontario’s PD programing, email them to PDOpportunities@cga-ontario.org or follow us on Twitter @CGA_Ontario for news about upcoming events. We look forward to an exciting 2012-13 professional development program with you. Turn the page and begin a new year of professional development. Last year’s introduction of live broadcast programming was so successful; we had to expand it this year! CGA Ontario is expanding these interactive offerings to better serve members across the province, specially for those in remote regions. Here are two reasons why you should give it a try: It’s interactive: the live chat option allows you to interact with the speaker, so you will always feel like you’re a part of the room!
