Beatles LOVE™ by Cirque du Soleil®

Jaffe Holden collaborated with Cirque du Soleil to convert
a traditional proscenium theatre to a theatre-in-theround that would be a space capable of supporting and
enhancing the Beatles’ unique music and Cirque’s show
design. Our team focused on ensuring sound reached
all locations evenly in the round theater by studying all
surface material and its orientation in great detail. Over
6,000 loudspeakers in seats and in the attic provide ideal
acoustics.
Viva ELVIS™ by Cirque du Soleil®

Jaffe Holden consultants worked closely with the Cirque
team to create a bright, clear and intelligible sound in the
1,840-seat theater for Viva ELVIS™. In order to do this, we
constructed large poly columns on side walls with builtin cutouts. Drapes, scrims and acoustic treatments were
placed behind the columns in order to create a layered
acoustic effect. On the column exteriors, curved wood
reflectors were added to enhance brightness and clarity
by allowing sound to bounce around the room. Acoustic
baffles were hung from ceiling to floor behind the
scrim, and giant bass traps were created to soak up lowfrequency sound without affecting sound clarity.
