5th Grade
ABC Book for Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Age of Enlightenment
Background: Students have been studying this period of time in social studies.
Challenge: Design and create a page for an alphabet book, using the letter
assigned to you.
Criteria:
Your alphabet book page must
 have a design of the upper and lower case letter.
 have a colored picture representing the time period.
 have the first sentence start off with” ______ is for ________.”
Example: R is for Renaissance.
 have 3 more sentences telling something about the word your page
represents.
 have excellent spelling and be neat.
 have at least 4 colors on the alphabet page.
 have student name in the bottom right hand corner on the front.
