A beginners guide to Abnormal Psychology by Katrina Spoor
http://www.purgatory.net/merits/index.htm [Retrieved January 15, 2015]]
This site is specific to the field of abnormal psychology. Here you will find different perspectives
regarding the interpretation of abnormal behavior, many of the common types of disorders, as well as
some information on treatment for certain types of disorders. This site, however, is by no means all
encompassing, but it does cover a very wide range of topics. It is a consolidation of information
gathered from many different sources both online and from books. I hope that you find it informative
and helpful.
A course in Abnormal Psychology by David L. Gilles-Thomas, Ph.D.
http://ccvillage.buffalo.edu/Abpsy/ [Retrieved January 15, 2015]
This web site contains lecture notes for an undergraduate, honors-level course in Abnormal
Psychology. It was written in the late 1980's, and as such relies on the American Psychiatric
Association's now outdated third (revised) edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (now in its
4th edition). Therefore, the specifics of the classification system and diagnostic criteria described in
these lectures will be different from those of today.
