DISNEY RECRUITER HOSTS PRESENTATION AT WESTERN
St. Joseph, Mo. — Feb. 11, 2005 — Missouri Western State College students
who dream of having a job that gives them real-world experience, college credit and a
pinch of magic, will be provided with an opportunity to learn how to turn their dreams
into reality when a Walt Disney World recruiter visits campus Feb 22. The recruiter will
give presentations about the Walt Disney World College Program internships at 12 p.m.
and 4 p.m. in the Fred Eder Student Services/Classroom Building, room 208.
The program is open to all undergraduate students in any major who have
completed at least one semester of school, and those who are selected for an internship
gain an in-depth view of the operations that go on behind the scenes of the worldrenowned resort. During their internships, students have the opportunity to participate in
one of seven courses offered as part of the program. These courses include:

Disney College Program Practicum

Disney Communications Course
•
Disney Hospitality Management Course
•
Disney Experiential Learning for the 21st Century
•
Disney Human Resource Management Course

Students in the program are housed in fully furnished one-to-four bedroom
apartments near Disney property. Rent payments, which include all utilities and
transportation to and from work, are deducted from students’ weekly paycheck.
