Larger gifts, ranging from $2,500 to $334,000, give donors the opportunity to name microscopes, scholarships, faculty teaching excellence funds, professorships, and facility spaces in celebration, honor, or memory of your colleagues, friends, and family members. STUDENTS Named Endowed Scholarship ($50,000)—The ability of the Division of Clinical Laboratory Science to attract exceptional undergraduate students from North Carolina and around the world to study in Chapel Hill will be greatly enhanced by an named endowed scholarship. Student scholarships will be given each year from your endowed scholarship fund’s investment income. FACULTY Named Endowed Teaching Excellence Fund ($50,000)—Students and alumni will reap the benefits of effective teaching by the faculty throughout their careers. Teaching excellence funds recognize outstanding teaching. Named Endowed Faculty Professional Development Fund ($50,000)—A faculty development fund will enable the Division of Clinical Laboratory Science to give teaching awards and host guest lecturers to greatly enhance our teaching capabilities and prominence. Named Endowed Professorship ($334,000)—State matching funds are available donors who fund professorships in honor of friends and family members attract and retain the finest professors in clinical laboratory science. Professorships provide salary supplements and support for teaching and research.
