The Ford Rouge Factory Tour and the
Henry Ford Museum
The auto industry remains central to Detroit's
economic and cultural identity. To understand
the industry's rise, we will be visiting the Ford
Rouge Factory Tour in Dearborn, MI, less than a
20-min. drive southwest of Detroit. Our tour
begins with a short motor coach ride from
Windsor Ontario to Dearborn, under the Detroit
River via the tunnel. This excursion will have a
local expert guide to provide commentary and
local information about the area.
A visit to the Ford Rouge Factory puts you at the center of sheer manufacturing might. Beyond the aweinspiring sweep, scale and action of the real-life factory floor where the new military grade aluminumalloy body Ford F-150 is made, get set for some eye-opening encounters with the technology of
tomorrow — today.
Ford Rouge Factory Tour is a self-guided five-part experience that includes: Legacy Theater,
Manufacturing Innovation Theater, Observation Deck, Dearborn Truck Plant and the Legacy Gallery.
Theater seating is limited to 100 guests per show; shows run continuously until 4:00 PM and are seated
on a first come first serve basis.
We will depart the Ford Rouge
Factory for our afternoon
destination The Henry Ford
Museum. Visit America's Greatest
History Destination, 200 acres of
invention, inspiration and
innovation. 300 years of history. 26
