• This session brings together industry and education, highlighting one of over 20 industry partnerships that form the foundation of MSOE University’s Doing Business with China Graduate Immersion Program. Industry leaders/partners advise on trends that set the ever changing curriculum (which mirrors the dynamic business environment of China). Partners also provide topic‐based thematic case studies and guest lectures, as well as host social and educational sessions domestically and in China. Since 2009, the program has evolved to a two‐way “transformational” educational relationship in which students not only learn from industry partners, but also teach in partnered companies while in China. The evolution of the program has also created opportunities for Alumni to become advisors and drive new partnerships. • Highlighting these points, Ross Buckley, MSOE Alum and Miller Electric Global Account Manager, along with C. Kelly Ottman, MSOE Professor, will share strategies, benefits and challenges of global industry and academic partnerships.
