TRANSFER OPTIONS
Completed AA or AS degree: The majority of CLC students who transfer with the A.A. or A.S. degree
satisfy all the general education requirements; call MSOE for confirmation and additional
assistance with course selection.
IAI GECC: MSOE is NOT a participant in the IAI.
Completing some courses at CLC: Students will follow MSOE’s General Education requirements.
Call MSOE for additional assistance with course selection.
TRANSFER CREDITS
The maximum number of semester hours transferable from a community college is 49% of any
undergraduate degree. A grade of ‘C’ (not C-) or higher is required to receive credit for transfer courses.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
2.5/4.0 GPA minimum; some majors require higher GPA.
Acceptance to engineering (computer, software, bimolecular and biomedical), requires a minimum
GPA of 3.00.
Students who have completed 24 or more college credits, or who have been out of high school for
2 or more years are not required to submit ACT test results or a high school transcript.
CALCULATION OF ADMISSION GPA
MSOE takes the cumulative GPA of the last college attended as it is posted on the transcript.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
No foreign language requirement.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available for all full time students. GPA required to be eligible for scholarships is 2. 5 and
annual scholarships range from $6,000- $12,000.
SPECIAL NOTES
MSOE accepts transfer credit from CLC into all of its undergraduate programs: Architectural
Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, International Business,
Management Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Bimolecular Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering and Nursing.
MSOE accepts CLEP credit; Incoming students should call the Enrollment Management Office at
(800) 332-6763 to see which courses would qualify for advanced placement at MSOE and what
scores are required to receive credit.
Applications submitted on-line are free of charge; paper applications require a $25 fee.
MSOE ranked 9th in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs for 2007
Average class size is 20 and all courses are taught by professors, not teaching assistants
TRANSFER OPPORTUNITIES
Management
The Bachelor of Science in Management degree awards junior status to students with an Associate Degree
or equivalent. The BSM offers concentrations in Business Administration, Financial Management,
Information Systems, Marketing Management or Operations Management.
Technical Communication
Junior status is also awarded to students majoring in Technical Communications at MSOE once they have
completed an AS degree at CLC
Electrical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology
The Bachelor of Science in EET and MET require specific prerequisites prior to admittance. Please refer to

CLC does have an articulation agreement with MSOE for the AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology.
