Work-Study How do I get financial aid? By filling out the FAFSA, you have already applied for Federal Pell Grant. Then go to www.ihl.state.ms.us to fill out the application for the two grants available to Mississippians. You must FIRST fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa. gov to receive any type of aid. What next? There are four different ways you can receive funds to help pay for your education. They are listed in the right column, so find which one best meets your needs and qualifications! By filling out the FAFSA, you will have applied for Federal Work-Study. If eligible, Northwest will help you find a job on campus to help cover your cost of attendance. Grants Loans Students who still need assistance covering their cost of attendance while in school can apply for Federal Direct Loans that they must pay back after graduation. 23 Ranger Athletics Northwest is known state-wide for its tradition of excellence in intercollegiate sports. Since 2000, a total of 280 studentathletes have gone on to sign at four-year colleges/universities. Eighty of those have inked at major Division I schools.
