UMBC & QACPS Masters of Arts in Education (MAE) Concentration in K-12 STEM Education Cohort Program The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is offering a 36-credit, 12-course non-thesis Masters of Arts in Teaching Degree with a focus on STEM education. This program is designed to provide experienced teachers content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and enhance leadership skills across STEM disciplines. Interested Teachers should attend the Information Session: WHEN: Tuesday October 7, 2014 at 4:30 pm WHERE: Matapeake Middle School Program Schedule The program will run from Spring 2015 through Fall 2017 (3 year program). Teachers will attend four courses per year. Admission Requirements Undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher Teaching certificate Three professional or academic references Statement of purpose Program Delivery UMBC will partner with QACPS to offer courses at sites within Queen Anne’s County. Courses will be hybrid with a combination of face-2-face and online class sessions. Program Cost New Reduced Tuition to meet the QACPS tuition reimbursement rate!
