Discovery Middle School Piano Lab eLearning Lesson 4 - 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Objectives: 1. Students will practice the musical skills they have learned in class. INDIANA MUSIC STANDARD 2: Playing an instrument alone and with others 2. Students will review note reading and music terminology. INDIANA MUSIC STANDARD 5: Reading, notating, and interpreting music Assignments: 1. Practice on your keyboard or piano at home for 25 minutes. You may play music that you have at home or if needed print out piano sheet music from makingmusicfun.net (choose according to your current level). Parents must sign the form at the bottom of this page to verify your practice time. Forms should be returned to Mrs. Bilotta.. *IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PIANO OR KEYBOARD AT HOME, print the attached copy of “Beethoven’s Fifth” and write the note names under each note of the song. Turn this in to Mrs. Bilotta on the next school day. (This is only for students who do not have a keyboard or piano for at home practice.) 2. Print a copy of “The Piano Keyboard Worksheet.” Complete the worksheet. Return the completed worksheet to Mrs. Bilotta.
