Accenture Delivery Suite Creates a Forum for
Global Collaboration
Clients come to Accenture for reliable, proven solutions and services delivered
as cost-effectively as possible. They come looking for ways to translate
Accenture’s experience, high-quality standards and innovation into their
improved performance.
Accenture has built a strategic delivery model around these client imperatives.
The model is global, collaborative and capable of delivering high-quality, highvalue business and technology solutions to meet each client’s specific needs and
priorities. This global model is successfully implemented through both our local
client teams and our network of delivery centers. The intellectual backbone of the
model is the Accenture Delivery Suite.
The Accenture Delivery Suite distills the collective experience of our professionals
working around the world into a set of proven methods, tools and architectures,
which together provide common parameters to enable our global teams to deliver
consistent solutions. The result—a cohesive, virtual project team delivering
reliable, quality solutions on time and at a lower cost.
Accenture Delivery Methods
The Accenture
Delivery Suite
distills the
collective
experience of our
professionals
working around
the world into a
set of proven
methods, tools
and architectures.
While no two clients—or even two client projects—are alike, most share certain
characteristics. And, while no two people—or project teams—approach a solution
in the same way, most can benefit from Accenture’s previous experience,
translated into consistent approaches that improve productivity and quality and
set the stage for successful solutions delivery.
Accenture Delivery Methods can help drive consistency and quality, save time and
money and keep our people’s focus on the unique challenges and innovation
opportunities a solution may present. Our methods also enable us to draw upon
professionals from around the world as needed in a collaborative effort,
establishing a universal language and environment that helps people get their
bearings quickly so they can begin contributing immediately.
Whether building a custom or packaged-based solution, Accenture Delivery
Methods focus on both what work needs to be done and how it can best be
accomplished. Industry-standard terminology underpins the methods, which
encompass—how deliverables and roles should be approached; what needs to be
produced; what skills are needed to do the work. They also include standard
transition points to enable smooth hand-offs between locations and teams, and
guidelines for planning and managing distributed work. The result—a strong yet
flexible framework that gives diverse, global teams the ability to overcome
challenges of time, distance and language to deliver a reliable solution built upon
Accenture’s deep skills and knowledge capital at an optimal cost.

Accenture Delivery Tools
Technology has always been central to nearly everything Accenture does. As we
have worked with various technology applications and vendors over the years, we
have explored different ways we deliver effective solutions to our clients at a high
value. Whether a client’s requirements are driven by budget, function or a specific
brand, Accenture can draw upon a broad and powerful set of technology tools to
craft the right solution.
Our toolset, comprised of both commonly used vendor-provided tools and internally
developed Accenture tools, is designed to address key points across the development
life cycle and equip our professionals for end-to-end solutions delivery. From
requirements gathering through development, testing and deployment, the delivery
tools help support client project teams with industry-shaping applications such as
SAP as well as emerging technology such as Web services.
With these robust applications as a foundation, we have built tool-specific assets
that enable us to perform on all fronts when it comes to building and integrating
a solution.
• Vendor selection guidelines help teams find the right tools faster. Recognizing
that not all projects needs are identical, the guidelines define project profiles
and a set of recommendations that addresses various project types and criteria.
In building each profile, we work to provide tools that work well together and
within the Accenture Delivery Methods.
• Our integration approach reflects both our experience—evident in our practices,
guidelines and templates—and our vigilance, demonstrated by our ability to
track requirements throughout an implementation.
• Our attention to detail on the back-end is complemented by our commitment
to front-end users. Intuitive user interfaces and pre-configured toolsets
integrated into one easy-to-use portal of the Accenture Delivery Tools
Workbench can dramatically reduce the time client teams need to start using
and benefiting from Accenture-powered solutions.
Accenture Delivery Architectures
Like our methods and tools, our reusable delivery architectures translate
knowledge and experience into proven approaches that can speed adoption of
newer technologies and provide better support for developers looking to deliver
high-performing solutions consistently and reliably.
At Accenture, we understand that a new solution only delivers value if it can
seamlessly and successfully bridge legacy systems and future innovations. A solid
architecture determines the application’s overall performance, stability and
maintainability—which are critical when you are relying on an application to
enhance overall business performance. That is why our delivery architectures
comprise structured application frameworks and reusable components to provide
guidance on how to enhance an application’s performance and set the stage for
future upgrades and innovations.

Our technical architectures provide a strong base from
which to start every custom delivery project across a
spectrum of needs. The Accenture Delivery Architectures
cover the most demanded Web-based platforms including:
• Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE): Accenture
provides several offerings to jumpstart application
development on the J2EE platform. Our two most
requested offerings are the Accenture Platform
Accelerator and Accenture General and Reusable
Netcentric Delivery Solution (GRNDS). These two reusable
architectures provide assets and tools required to
expedite development on all J2EE technologies, including
BEA WebLogic®.
Bringing the Elements Together to
Deliver High Performance
At Accenture, we believe our individual skills and knowledge
are strengthened and stretched when we work closely with
our colleagues and our clients. We have built our Accenture
Delivery Suite upon that collective knowledge to give us a
proven basis for global collaboration. Through Accenture
Delivery Suite, our methods, tools and architectures, we can
deliver to clients the solutions they need to achieve the
high performance they seek.
• The Microsoft.Net Platform: Avanade, a technology
business we co-own with Microsoft, built Avanade
Connected Architectures for .NET (ACA.NET) to support
development on the Microsoft.NET platform. By using
ACA.NET, Accenture’s clients reduce development time
and testing efforts by up to 1,000 workdays, decrease risk
and improve the reliability and overall quality of their
application environment.
