ABOUT THE SHOW: Amadeus weaves a provocative tale of the confrontation between mediocrity and genius
into a saga of breathtaking dramatic power. Court favored composer Salieri is challenged by the greatest
musical genius of all time: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Amadeus asks us to contemplate the nature of art, the
influence of divine inspiration and the lengths some are willing to go to achieve greatness. The play won the
Tony award when it premiered on Broadway, and the film adaptation won the Academy Award in 1985.
Amadeus is being produced with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. We will have four performances
sharing the stage with a 50 piece orchestra bringing the music of Mozart to life.
