Runway Incursion Avoidance
Runway incursions continue to be a problem that plagues the GA world. Here at OU Aviation we have a
good record of avoiding these incidents, however there is a trend showing up in checks, of pilots failing
to practice runway incursion avoidance or performing runway safe checks too late. This month’s safety
corner is a video made by FAASTeam on runway incursions called “The FAA Taxi Test”. It is
approximately 1 hour long and has a lot of very valuable information on how to avoid an occurrence.
The entire video is excellent, but pay particular attention to the first 15mins it could save you some day
