Volunteers
Volunteers are essential to our YMCA
movement! You can give meaningful service
to multiply our effectiveness and allow more
people access to what a YMCA offers. We
have a host of volunteer opportunities.
Some areas we need volunteer help include:
•

Hospitality Desk
ALL youth sport coaches
Developmental Assets
Programs of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis
incorporate the Search Institute's 40
Developmental Assets Model, which is a
nationally regarded tool in assessing the
outcome measurement of youth programs and
activities. Our programs are designed to give
children the support they need to become
successful adults.
Facility vs Program Member
Throughout this program guide you will find
two kinds of pricing, FACILITY MEMBER (FM)
and PROGRAM MEMBER (PM). A facility
member means that you are an active member
with the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. You
will find numerous benefits in becoming a
member, which are listed on page 4. The other
advantage to having a membership is that
you receive FREE or discounted rates on our
sports, aquatics, camps, wellness, events, etc.
A program member means that you are
registered to do a specific program. There is
not an additional fee to be a program member;
however, you will pay a higher program fee
versus becoming a facility member. A program
member will not have full access to the YMCA
facility nor their amenities.
IN10
If you are interested in becoming a Facility
Member, please speak to a Member Services
Representative at the front desk.

donors whose contributions enable us to realize
our mission of being open and accessible to
all. We seek to reflect the multicultural, ethnic

an organizational environment where all people
