Integration simplifi es decision making
The business established a software solution called STRATandGO™
Integrated Management System (IMS), which is entirely available in the IBM Cloud. It combines different management themes in one integrated software, where required themes are linked and displayed in a personalized dashboard in order to allow structured controlling, planning and analysis of important areas. With STRATandGO™, the company provides a software solution that addresses several challenges managers are facing nowadays. They need to identify complex connections between strategic goals, risks, opportunities and projects at any given time in order to make the right decisions and hereby increase the effi ciency of their company. Users of STRATandGO™ can directly access the customized Balanced
Scorecard simply by using a specifi c connection string. The user navigates through a personalized, integrated dashboard containing his individual key performance information, which is linked to any related management objective. Thereby, the person responsible is always best informed about the status of running projects or the valuation of the related risks. Balanced Scorecard, Project Portfolio
Management, Risk & Opportunity Management, Internal Control
System (ICS) and Contract Management are some examples for available objectives.

STRATandGO™ required a scalable and agile infrastructure to securely and efficiently distribute their new solution. This is why they explored
IBM’s SmartCloud Enterprise. Since it is designed to provide rapid access to security-rich cloud environments and it is also developed for organizations that want a cloud environment suitable for running moderate-risk applications, it will finally lead to cost effectiveness and risk reduction of the client’s IT.
IBM delivered IBM SmartCloud Enterprise, which implicates putting the
STRATandGO™ tool in the IBM Cloud. Thus, STRATandGO™ can leverage IBM SmartCloud Application Services to develop and customize solutions for their end customers and deliver them in a Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) model. There are important components of a SaaS cloud environment: load balancing support, 3-tier software architecture, high scalability capabilities, MTTR (Mean time to Recovery from loss of Resource) and many more. Additionally, by using SaaS, no installation on customers IT equipment is needed. This makes the combination of STRATandGO™ together with the newest technology of IBM SmartCloud a best in class solution for customers.
