Class Rank and GPA All courses in grades 9-12 are included in the cumulative GPA which determines class rank. Both weighted and unweighted GPA’s appear on the transcript. Class rank is not the ultimate indicator of class standing, college acceptance or scholarship consideration. It is important to note that electives taken by many Mead HS students for diversity and enrichment are not weighted classes.
