Prompt: Compare the Milgram Obedience Experiment to Shirley Jackson’s short
story "The Lottery."

1. Draw six note card sized rectangles on a sheet of loose leaf paper.
2. In the upper left corner of each, write “Obedience” because that is your
topic.
3. Three of the note cards should contain evidence from “The Lottery” that
strongly relates to your topic of obedience. One of these must be a quotation.
The source number will be #1. In the bottom left corner, write the number of
the paragraph in which you found the information.
4. The other three note cards should contain evidence from “The Milgram
Obedience Experiment” that strongly relates to your topic of obedience. One
of these must be a quotation. The source number will be #2. In the bottom left
corner, write the number of the paragraph in which you found the information.
