I am part of the Aztec tribe. My family and I live in Tenochtitlan. This is my story … Aztec Housing “Today I was going to make a simple aztec hut with my dad and my annoying, older brother even though the people in our tribe live in pueblos. The first thing we did was imagine it and then put it in a blueprint.Next, we gathered some logs and mud. After that we put the logs together with some mud in a circle shape, and we put the rest of the logs mixed with mud on top of the base to make the roof, and we did not need to put any furniture inside because us aztec people do not need any beds since we sit on the floor. Amazing right!See you tomorrow. Aztec Clothing The ancient aztec clothing of the common people and slaves sometimes covered very little of their bodies. Maguey clothing, rather than the cotton ,was the rule. Slaves would only wear a simple loincloth. The loincloth, also worn by common people, was made from a long strip of cloth tied in front. If the man had a little higher social standing, it might be embroidered or have fringes on the two ends. The men would also wear a cloak made from a triangular cloth known as a tilmatli or tilma. It could be used like an apron to carry things, or worn as a cloak. Aztec Food “It was going to be a great day because I was going to do the classical and traditional, xocolatl(aztec chocolate). This was what we had to do”.Put 1½ cups of water to boil in a big or small pot. Add a chili pepper(the seeds included),to the boiled water and let it boil for 5-10 minutes.Strain the chili pepper and seeds from the water, return the water to the pot.Add 4 cups of water to the chili pepper infused water, reduce heat to medium low,and bring to a slow boil.Stir the cocoa powder and vanilla extract into the boiling water, cook and stir until the powder dissolves completely, which takes to a total of 5 to 10 minutes. Characteristics The characteristics of my tribe would be: • Brave • Courageous • Determined • Persevered • Hopeful • Caring • Humble • Unintelligent Plants And Animals “The animals that live near us are: monkeys, lizards, geckos, jaguars, parrots, hyenas and a HUGE pack of wolves”. The plants that grow near us are the “most dangerous” plants of all, which are the carnivorous/human eating plants, also roses, tulips and some sunflowers. Reflection My reflection for my project would be that I liked it and enjoyed it alot because I had the chance to learn something new and it was especially fun.Something I would change about my project would be to give a little bit more details and dialogue to make it an interesting and exciting story. On this project,I think I will get a B,but who knows,I might get something else.
