This half-day course is aimed at those
who have had little or no exposure to
the clearing and settlement process
in the United Kingdom. It has been
primarily designed for operations staff,
although the course is also suitable
for those whose roles bring them
into contact with core settlement and
custody activities (e.g. compliance,
audit, risk management, system design
and support).
Aimed at those who have a broad
understanding of the CREST system
and who require detailed information
on how corporate actions are
processed. This course describes the
processing associated with corporate
actions, distinguishing between
mandatory, mandatory with options
and voluntary corporate actions. Areas
covered include:

• dividend processing (including

Aimed at those who have a broad
understanding of the CREST system
and who require detailed information
on its lending and collateral
functionality. This course is designed to
appeal to those working in operations
who process stock loans, DBVs, term
DBVs and repos. It highlights the input,
pre-settlement, settlement and postsettlement processing associated with
the lending and collateral transactions
available to CREST participants.
