Brian La Blanc emulates the look and sound of
one of the best-selling artists of all time, Neil
Diamond. Hear top hits from the 60s, 70s, and

song co-opted by the Red Sox--“Sweet Caroline.”
Brian has performed at NYC clubs and performing arts centers
across the country, and has appeared on television’s Star Search.
“Fasten your seat belts...” John Kenrick takes
a behind the scenes look at the making of
this 1950 Hollywood blockbuster about an
ambitious young starlet who sets her sights
on replacing the reigning queen of Broadway.
On camera or off, it was quite a bumpy ride
with stars Bette Davis, Gary Merrill, Celeste Holm,
Anne Baxter, George Sanders, and Marilyn Monroe.

singer, songwriter Marc Berger performs original
songs from his latest CD Ride. His music combines the sound of Bruce Springsteen with the soul

at festivals nationwide, and his song “The Last
One” was a staple of Richie Havens’ concerts for years.
Lauren Bacall exuded a provocative glamour with
her sultry looks and low, smoky voice. Her breakout role opposite Humphrey Bogart in To Have
and Have Not catapulted her to stardom during
Hollywood’s golden age. She remained a star for
the rest of her life, working in films, television,
and on Broadway. Join Marc Courtade as he presents this multimedia lecture on the woman who taught Bogie how to whistle.

Local award-winning screenwriter and educator Jim Malone
will take you on an interactive, audio/visual journey that
explores the basic elements of feature film narratives and

Residents of the Oceanside School District are given priority for
our programs. In-person registration begins at 7pm.
The Library reserves the right to limit the number of tickets
given to any one person. Fees are nonrefundable.
To secure a place in the program, patrons must pay (cash
only) within three days of registering, or we will contact the
next person on the waiting list. Out-of-district patrons may
begin registering on the fourth day after in-person registration.
Proof of age is required.

This three-session program is designed to provide teens with
the skills needed to obtain and succeed at entry-level jobs.
Topics will include: working papers, job search techniques,
resumes and applications, interviews, customer service,
proper attire, cell phone use, how to interact with co-workers
and employers, social media and employment, how to make
change, and much more. Successful participants will receive
a Certificate which can be useful in helping to obtain that
first job.
