COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL DATA:
El Toro High School (ETHS) opened in 1973. It is one of four comprehensive high schools in the Saddleback Valley Unified School
District (SVUSD). SVUSD has more California Distinguished School Awards than any district in the state of California.
El Toro has a student population of 2631 students. The student population is 52% Caucasian, 27% Hispanic/Latino, 9% Asian, and
12% of various other ethnicities.

El Toro High School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Its most recent accreditation

BELL SCHEDULE, GRADING AND CLASS RANK:
Traditional bell schedule: 7-period day. Honors, IB, AP, and Early College coursework is weighted and computed in the GPA and
class rank. Weighted classes are multiplied by a factor of .2 and divided by the number of semesters. Rank is based on academic
GPA. Transcripts provide four GPA options:
