offer contract research, process development and manufacturing
services from initial route selection and optimization, to process
scale up and the production of novel molecules in commercial
quantities.
Exclusive custom synthesis and contract manufacture are
undertaken for clients in complete confidentiality within Acros
Organics’ own kilolab, pilot scale and multi-purpose production
facilities located in the UK, Belgium and the USA. Products can be
supplied in milligram to ton quantities and can be manufactured
to ISO 9001:2000 and cGMP quality standards. Where
appropriate, production can also be managed through technical
transfer to specialist third party manufacturers.
Specialist expertise in heterocyclic and nucleic acid chemistries is
also available through the Acros Organics affiliate organizations,
Maybridge and Pierce Nucleic Acid Technologies.
PROCESS DEVELOPMENT AND SCALE UP
Not only does our Process R&D Department has access to over
120,000 proprietary synthetic chemistry processes developed
within Acros Organics and Fisher Scientific, but it continually
develops diverse and complex chemistries to meet the unique
requirements of our customers globally. Process research and
scale up resources include development laboratories, cGMP
and ISO:9000:2000 compliant kilolabs containing over 20 fume
hoods with equipment up to 50 liters, and pilot scale facilities.
Senior development chemists oversee these custom projects and
communicate directly with customers providing progress and
project reports. Expert teams of dedicated analytical chemists
support both process development and manufacturing activities,
ensuring quality at every step of the process. See the table

CUSTOM SYNTHESIS AND CONTRACT MANUFACTURE
Acros Organics Fine and Custom Chemistry business specializes
in the exclusive manufacture of chemicals for which either the
entity or specification is not commercially available. Our vast
process knowledge and experience of manufacturing thousands
of different chemicals makes us ideally qualified to develop
specialty products for customers. Our team of organic chemists,
chemical engineers and project managers keenly understands the
customized service necessary to produce novel compounds. Our
extensive facilities enable us to provide a fast, accurate turnaround
of full scale specialist chemicals to the most exacting requirements
either as a single synthesis or as contract manufacture on an
ongoing basis. Our operations can handle most requirements.
Laboratory, pilot scale and multi-purpose production facilities
contain glass, glass-lined and stainless steel vessels with
capacities up to 5,000 liters allowing production of quantities
from milligrams to tons and to ISO9000:2000 and cGMP quality
standards as required.
