Walmart Hiring Approximately 200 for New Garden Grove Store
WHAT:
Walmart will hire approximately 200 associates to work at the new Walmart Supercenter slated to
open this winter in Garden Grove. A temporary hiring center has opened at 12880 Beach Blvd. at
the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Garden Grove Avenue.
Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested applicants
may also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com. The store will be hiring both full- and parttime associates.
Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any
qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months.* Interested

“I look forward to interviewing potential associates and to training new associates and
management on Walmart’s recent innovations and programs,” said store manager Randy Harmon.
Harmon has been with the company for the past 15 years, beginning his career with Walmart in
New Mexico, and has more than 30 years of grocery and retail management experience.

Walmart provides a benefits program to eligible full- and part-time associates. The company
provides a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits, including health care coverage with
no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up
to 6 percent, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and
company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based
on store performance.
The majority of new associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand
opening.
