Job Description Title : Marketing Manager Reports To : General Manager Division : Sigma Company Background Sigma is the successful software distribution arm of Grey Matter Ltd. The company acts as a distributor for a large number of software vendors & distributes their products to software resellers throughout the UK & beyond. Sigma operates as a close-knit team, seeking to provide an excellent level of service to both its software vendors & reseller customers - this positive team culture is critical to the on-going success of the business. The Role Sigma is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager into its busy marketing department. Directly managing a marketing executive and working closely with both our full time designer, product manager, other departments and software suppliers (vendors), the successful applicant will need to be full of ideas, well organised, flexible and energetic with excellent English language and communication skills. Key Tasks / Responsibilities Creation of managed vendor and Sigma marketing plans Prepare, deliver and oversee Sigma marketing activities Responsible for creation of website, email and print messaging – both for vendors & Sigma Responsible for reviewing & maintaining website content Produce product, vendor and campaign reports & KPI’s Management of marketing expenditure and budgets Market research & competitor analysis Organising vendor training days and external events Supporting the sales team in delivering sales/marketing materials to customers Market research & competitor analysis. Supporting the Business Development Managers in delivering sales/marketing materials to resellers/end customers Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the General Manager Knowledge/Skills Required Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent telephone manner IT skills: Microsoft Office applications & CRM system Strong organisational skills Team player Ability to use initiative Good dose of common sense Previous Experience Required Marketing degree, professional qualification or qualification by experience Experience with email and online marketing At least two years marketing experience Desirable Line management of marketing team History of marketing technical products Knowledge of the IT industry In depth CRM system knowledge Other Information Contractual hours – 37.5.hours per week. Hours of business – 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. 20 days holiday plus public holidays, with an additional day’s holiday for each complete calendar year of service (up to a maximum of 5 additional days).
