Bump is an app that allows students to share information (pictures, contacts, etc.) from one iPod to another. This is helpful when students are working together to form flashcard sets, presentations, etc.
uTalk French is a fun, interactive learning tool that provides key words, phrases and structures, along with tips for remembering them. Includes quizzes, speech recording and playback, native speakers, games, etc.
iGrammar
French iGrammar French is a basic French grammar reference tool with rules for verb tenses and moods, adjectives, articles, pronouns, prepositions, comparison, and object remplacement.

iRime iRime is a rhyming dicitionary. Students can look up words in French and find rhyming French words. This is particularly useful in French IV when we write original poems (odes, ballads, etc.).

& Le Monde.fr are online versions of Paris’ two most popular newspapers. These apps allow students to remain current on news in France, and to read the French opinions and perceptions of events that are occurring in the US. I have required students to research specific topics, but have also allowed them to find their own articles of interest. We do an activity I call Info, Sporto, Météo (News, Sports and Weather) where students talk about what happened over the weekend
(personally, locally, nationally, and in France).
