Green Mark 2015 (Version 5) is BCA’s new Environmental rating tool for the built environment, building upon the
10 years and close to 2,300 Green Mark Buildings. This 5th incarnation of BCA’s Green Mark scheme is a paradigm shift that assesses the outcomes of the process of green building design through a set of connectable indicators that contextualises buildings through planetary boundaries and societal purposes, which ultimately aligns itself with best corporate practice. Green Mark 2015 embeds sustainability into early thinking of project development right through to the construction and operations. The criteria helps guide project ambitions and activities to drive sustainable outcomes and total building performance. This workshop shall provide a detailed introduction to the New Green Mark scheme.

A B O U T
The Building and Construction Authority of Singapore champions the development of an excellent built environment in
Singapore. BCA’s mission is to shape a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment, as these are the four elements where BCA has significant influence. In doing so, it aims to differentiate Singapore’s built environment from those of other cities and contribute to a better quality of life for everyone in Singapore. Hence its vision is to have “a future-ready built environment for Singapore”. Together with its education and research arm, the BCA Academy of The
Built Environment, BCA works closely with its industrial players to develop skills and expertise that help shape the best built environment in Singapore.
