The program will challenge students to critically examine the theories and practices comprising the body of knowledge related to the conduct of business in dynamic, international environments and increase the breadth and depth of their skills and abilities. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a Master of Business Administration degree. Students whose academic backgrounds do not include economics, statistics, accounting, or finance should attain that knowledge prior to advancing to candidacy in the Newsweek Master of Business Administration program. Kaplan University offers two foundation courses specifically designed to expose students to these essential skills (KU 510: Foundations of Mathematics and Economics and KU 511: Foundations of Accounting and Finance). The Newsweek Master of Business Administration degree program consists of a minimum of 52 quarter credit hours. In addition, students may add a specialization to their degree plan, for which they are required to take a minimum of four courses from a group of two specializations.
